CHROM.GALLERY is born out of our ambition to provide a hub for grassroots creativity where, well known as well as undiscovered artists, can connect with art lovers in this busy part of town, home of London's modernity. With a contemporary spirit and an urban heart, CHROM.GALLERY aims to be an art lab for fresh multidisciplinary collaborations where audiences can experience inspiring new work and meet artists as well as enjoy this compact yet explosive space of endless possibilities. Cute like a furry animal but able to shed its skin with each show to host a new fantasy that will spark the imagination of children, young and old.
These are very challenging times to start new ventures, yet the ideal time to disrupt, innovate, explore new routes, and redefine what it means to create, own, showcase, share, represent, collect and promote art in its various forms, shapes and sizes, and of course, colours.
In December EndoftheLine and Chrom.Art present ‘TetraChrome’ a solo show of artworks produced by artist and large-scale painter Jim Vision during the London Covid lockdown.
Artwork will be displayed in the new chrom.gallery in Dalston. These fantastical paintings of hope represent a change of pace for an artist usually found painting large walls and buildings.
Certainly not one to play it small, since 2005 Jim has been on his own personal rampage to beautify the urban scenery – with a slew of monstrously large murals that many would have already seen gracing whole buildings from London’s Brick Lane to Manchester’s Northern Quarter. His clients include such major names as Netflix and Marvel; and yet the London-based artist has remained active at the grassroots level too – pursuing both independent art and community projects.
On show for the first time ‘TetraChrome’ is a handpicked selection of Jim’s art, produced during the unprecedented period of the London Lockdown.
The show will also be broadcasted live on social media for those unable to attend in person.
A full print range of exhibition artworks is available at sizes to suit all walls.Showcasing a special print from Jim’s Colourful Women Series, bright and beautiful murals painted in the streets of London in 2020, celebrating women of colour.
