MANDALA HARMONIOUS GEOMETRY OF SPACE - A mandala is a geometric symbol of a complex structure that is interpreted as a model of the Universe, "map of the surrounding space"; harmony of the world in a circle.
Navajo Indians use drawings on the sand in the form of a mandala to return the patient to a beneficial state of harmony with the cosmos, with himself and thus improve his health. Naskapi Indians see the soul of man as simply an ‘Inner companion’ whom they call ‘My friend’ or ‘Mista peo’, meaning ‘Great Man’ portrayed not in the image of a humanoid, but in the form of a mandala.
Carl Gustav Jung identified the mandala as an archetypal symbol of human perfection and to denote a structure reflecting the core of the human soul, the essence of which is unknown to us. Now the mandala is used in psychotherapy as a means of achieving a complete understanding of the self.
Vasiliy Poletov says about them, “mandalas are magical. They have helped me in many ways to understand, accept and love the world as it is. They are certainly a cure, carrying within itself a balance of geometry and color. I really like the mood that they help keep inside”.
